Hello, Jiayan and friends from Hong Kong New City Radio. When I was in university, studying at a medical school with the motto "Medicine Serving Society, Benefiting Society," I learned that healthcare should rescue and benefit society.
In Hong Kong, many customers have expressed concerns about long wait times for dental appointments, difficulty finding dentists on weekends, and higher dental fees.
To address these issues, we began offering dental consultations and appointment services for citizens at the end of 2008, leading to the establishment of Vickong Dental. Vickong Dental is a Grade A healthcare facility with dental professionals holding doctorates and master's degrees from prestigious universities. Today is "World Smile Day," and Mother's Day is this Sunday. Does Vickong Dental have any advice for Hong Kong citizens on how to protect dental health and maintain a confident smile?
Vickong Dental responds:
Through routine dental consultations, Vickong Dental has observed that dental health among Hong Kong citizens, especially periodontal health, is not satisfactory. In addition, hormonal changes in women at different stages of life can cause tooth and gum sensitivity. We particularly recommend women planning for pregnancy to undergo dental check-ups in advance, promptly treat cavities, and consider removing "impacted wisdom teeth" to avoid inconvenient dental issues during pregnancy.
Furthermore, periodontal health problems can lead to loose teeth and affect social interactions due to changes in breath odor. We recommend brushing teeth correctly twice daily, undergoing dental cleaning every six months, promptly filling cavities, opting for dental implants if teeth are missing, and considering non-invasive aesthetic veneers for teeth with issues like shape or color. This way, dental health can be maintained, and smiles can be kept bright and confident!
三、Inquiring About the Dental Implant Process

Dental implants have become popular in recent years. What is the process for dental implants?
Vickong Dental responds:
At Vickong Dental, for customers with missing teeth, the first step is a CT 3D scan to determine the dental implant treatment plan and implant brand with the dentist. If the customer's overall health condition permits dental implants, the implant surgery can be performed on the same day. However, if there are conditions like periodontitis or hypertension, these need to be controlled before proceeding with implants. The integration and growth of implants with the jawbone typically take three months to half a year, involving three to four visits to the dental clinic. For some customers with adequate jawbone width and density, immediate implant restoration can be achieved on the same day. For specific details, consultation with a dentist during a dental check-up is recommended. Additionally, options such as dental bridges or removable dentures are available for missing teeth, and natural teeth can be preserved through root canal treatments without necessarily opting for dental implants. It is advisable to consult a professional dentist promptly for any dental issues.
